FLYER

It is a folding information booklet, usually used in promotional mailing actions.

FOLDER

It is a folding brochure designed to contain illustrative paper material.

FOLLOW-ON

Is the second part of an advertising campaign that completes the previous phases.

FOLLOW-UP

Is the follow-up to an advertising campaign that highlights new aspects of communication by strengthening it. It can be used for any marketing action that reinforces a previous one.

FORMAT

Format Stereotype of message.

FEED

A feed is a data format used to offer users with frequently updated contents.

FREELANCER

A freelancer is a professional who earns money on a per-job or per-task basis, usually for short-term work. However, often it’s also the case of long-term collaborations.

FREE STANDING INSERTS

Inserts attached to Sunday newspapers, with coupons and discounts.

FORUM

An Internet forum is message board: an online discussion site where users discuss on different topics in the form of posted messages.

FAQ

It is an acronym for Frequently Asked Questions. FAQs are collections of the most recurrent questions and answers for a specific topic.

FIREWALL

It’s a security device/software between a closed system or network and the external Internet which stops or regulates communications in and out of the system.

FREEWARE

Software which is available for free.

FRAMES

They are a technique employed in web pages to split the page into windows. Each window is called a frame and contains its own separate page.

FILE TRANSFER PROTOCOL (FTP)

It’s common way of moving files between two Internet sites. FTP is a special way to access to another Internet site to receive and/or send files.
